TRONICO France
On December 15, 1972, 22 residents of Saint-Philbert-de-Bouaine (85), France, agreed to invest their savings in an electronics subcontracting company, under the leadership of Gérard Plet, CEO and founder of “La TRONICO”. With the support of SODERO (société pour le développement de la Région Ouest), which held one third of the future company’s capital, and BONNET (now Cuisines Arthur Bonnet), on July 7, 1973, the brand-new building welcomed the first 30 employees of a company with cutting-edge equipment, whose main customers in the electronics sector were SERCEL and Marcel DASSAULT electronics.
A first-rate industrial heritage
TRONICO France has always relied on the high technical skills of its staff, coupled with the reliability of its products on the electronics industry market.
From an initial surface area of 600 square meters, we now have 12,000 square meters dedicated to the design and manufacture of complex, high value-added electronic products.
By 1977, just 4 years after its creation, the industrial company had grown to a turnover of 3 million francs, with its workforce increasing 2.5-fold to 80 employees.
A collective success
A decade later, the manufacturer has become one of France’s top ten subcontractors for professional electronics and microelectronics. At that time, 40% of sales were in the military sector, 60% in the civilian sector:
- flight control boards for Mirages 2000 aircraft
- electronic assemblies for nuclear submarines
- safety equipment for Airbus A320s and A340s
- Electronic control racks for TGV high-speed trains…
The secret of our success? Effective ongoing training, an extremely rigorous “quality” approach, and a common-sense development policy.
