What are electronic board tests used for?

Electronic board testing is used to check that the design of the board is correct and that it performs the function required of it. After production, the Testing department ensures that the manufactured board functions correctly before it is used. There are many reasons why malfunctions can occur: short circuits, poor soldering or misplaced components, etc.

Two types of test can be distinguished: structural tests and functional tests (to which boundary scan must be added).

To achieve this, TRONICO has a certain amount of equipment and trained technicians, each type of test having its own raison d’être, depending on the markets addressed (aeronautics, space, medical, etc.).
