A service for industrial prototyping of electronic products
As part of the Methods, Processes and Industrialisation department, the prototyping activity provides a comprehensive service for prototyping new complex electronic products.
Description
Our prototyping service enables us to manufacture products to short deadlines so that our customers can validate the functions of their future products:
- single electronic boards
- a group of electronic boards to form an integrated unit at a later date
- a wired product (harnesses, strands)
TRONICO's global offer
Benefits
A dedicated team
- prototype project managers
- industrialisation engineers and technicians
- project buyers
- project procurement officers
- file agents
- experienced operators
Prototype monitoring
- Prototype project managers coordinate the actions of the various departments and keep customers informed of project progress.
- A detailed report: the discussions and work of TRONICO’s teams feed into a detailed report that will be provided to its customers to help them optimise the Design for X phases.
Equipment and resources
All specific processes and production equipment are made available for prototypes (e.g. SMD lines, mobile probe tests, etc.). Priority time slots are set aside for prototypes.
A complete process
Purchasing
Objective: to meet the constraints of short lead times and component availability while complying with customer requirements and TRONICO’s purchasing strategies.
Services provided:
- Consultancy
- Purchasing/procurement based on provisional bills of materials (PPL: provisional supply list): launch of procurement before the end of product design, based on a partial, non-final bill of materials.
- Reactive placing of orders with brokers or non-ERP websites
Mock-up, demonstrator
Objective: this service is provided before the prototypes are produced and is an effective and inexpensive way of ensuring that the final product meets the initial requirements by :
- providing a draft of the future electronic board
- validating the routing before large-scale production
- validating the various functionalities in independent blocks
Lead time: 5 days excluding testing
